... AND WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD FROM ME IN THE PRESENCE OF MANY WITNESSES ENTRUST TO FAITHFUL MEN, WHO WILL BE ABLE TO TEACH OTHERS ALSO.

2 TIMOTHY 2:2

Disciple-making is intentionally equipping believers with the Word of God through accountable relationships empowered by the      Holy Spirit in order to REPLICATE faithful followers of Christ.

  • A D-Group Is...

    • A D-Group is a gender-specific, closed group of 3-5 believers (including the leader) who meet together weekly for the purpose of accelerated spiritual transformation.  A person joins a D-Group by invitation only.
    • A D-Group consists of believers who desire a deeper walk with Christ.  It is not evangelistic in its form or function, but in its fruit:  it makes disciples who then will go on to make more disciples.
    • A D-Group is built on relationships.
  • What does a D-Group Meeting Look like?

    1. Open with prayer.
    2. Have a time of intentional conversation by briefly sharing the highs/lows of the week.  You can also share celebrations and praises.
    3. Quote your Scripture memory verses for the week.
    4. Study the Word of God together.  Share what the Lord taught you during the week.
  • typical d-group discussion questions

    1. What is God teaching you, and how is it affecting your life?
    2. Is there an action or attitude to avoid?
    3. Is there a principle found in Scripture that you can apply to your life?
  • the commitment

    1. I understand that I am entering into a time of accelerated spiritual transformation.
    2. I understand that my D-Group will meet for approximately 1-1/2 hours each week.
    3. I understand that I will be reading Scripture, journaling, and memorizing Scripture on a weekly basis, in order to contribute to the weekly discussions of my D-Group.
    4. I understand that there is to be an atmosphere of confidentiality, honesty, and transparency for the edification of others, as well as for my own spiritual growth.
    5. I will pray every week for those who are on this discipleship journey with me.
    6. I will be open to replicating the discipleship process upon completion of the group.
